Cartoon Smart – After Effects Dynamic Text
This tutorial is a great example of how powerful After Effects is for producing quality videos on the fly. Suppose a client needs 50 title sequences for a presentation the next day. This tutorial teaches how to setup an initial animation with reflections, masks, FX, or whatever, then load in text from a .txt file to replace the title.
You could render one title at a time, or setup an array in the text file and go through tons of sequences in one shot. Plus you’ll see the replacement text immediately in the authoring environment so you can easily make tweeks to your animation accordingly.
As always, there’s more to learn than just what the title says. Our instructor, Jeremy Hicks,
has plenty of tips and tricks to share about broadcast-quality video production.
